Seeds and roots contain chalcones, flavones, isoflavones, psoralen. It is antibacterial, antistaphylococcal, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, laxative, stimulant, diuretic.

Taste: sharp, bitter.

Dosage

Five grams of powder twice a day before meals, together with coriander and honey (to taste), grind to a paste.
